Heathrow and Gatwick from Wimbledon
Wimbledon is well placed for both main airports. Heathrow is a short run west via the A3 or through Kingston and Twickenham, often around 30 to 45 minutes. Gatwick is a run south via the A24 or across to the A23 and M23. For flights home, give us your flight number and we will meet you in arrivals. See our Croydon to Heathrow taxi page for terminal advice.
Tennis fortnight
During the Championships, roads around the All England Club are very busy, and some have restrictions. If you are going to the tennis, book ahead and agree a pickup point a short walk from the grounds. If you have visitors staying in a hotel for the fortnight, our hotel transfer taxi service can run them to and from the tennis.
Trams to Croydon
Trams run directly between Wimbledon and Croydon, which is great for short trips. With luggage or late at night, a door-to-door taxi is easier.
Trains from Wimbledon
Wimbledon has fast trains to Waterloo. For trains from other terminals, such as Paddington or King's Cross, a taxi saves changes across London with heavy bags. See our Croydon to Paddington taxi page for trains west.
Wimbledon to Croydon by car
The tram links Wimbledon and Croydon, but plenty of journeys suit a car better: early starts, late finishes, heavy shopping or a trip with young children. A taxi takes you door to door through Mitcham to Croydon town centre, East Croydon station or Croydon University Hospital. For long trips from Wimbledon to other cities, see our intercity taxi page.
Wimbledon Common walks
The Common is great for long walks, and dogs are welcome in our pet friendly taxi.
Nearby areas
We also cover neighbouring Raynes Park and Balham. For groups, our 7 seater taxi takes up to seven or eight passengers.
